#RideNevadaIt's our goal to see as much as possible of Nevada on horseback - from ghost towns to roadside attractions to state parks to historic trails to the backcountry places and everything in between. We are almost always exploring some part of the state and working on a few projects, which you can learn about below.

Old Spanish Trail Project
The Old Spanish Trail was a network of trade routes used to link Santa Fe and Los Angeles starting in the 1830s. It took traders about three months to make the arduous trek through New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Today, the Old Spanish Trail is a designated National Historic Trail, jointly managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service.
In February 2025, we will ride sections of the OST in Nevada to discover what the trail is like nearly 200 years later. |
Tahoe Rim Trail Ride
In August 2025, we will attempt to thru ride the Tahoe Rim Trail. The 165-mile trail loops around the Lake Tahoe Basin, through rugged wilderness, forests, meadows, and alpine lakes.

Nevada Horse Trails ProjectWhat good is all this exploration if we can't share it with others? We are building a free database of every horse friendly trail, campground, guest ranch, and more in the state to help other equestrians #RideNevada too!
|
Nevada State Parks ProjectWe want to be the first to complete the Nevada State Parks passport challenge entirely on horseback! Visitors must get their passport stamped at 15 parks to complete the challenge.

Nevada Ranges ProjectNevada is the most mountainous US state with approximately 300 named ranges. A big chunk of the interior part of the state is restricted federal/military land so we know we won't be able to ride every mountain range in Nevada, but we're trying to ride as many of them as we can!
