The Trail Is Calling... Let Us Help You Get There!
Do you dream of exploring the wilderness with your horse, but are unable or unsure of how to prepare your horse for the trail? Here's your chance to have the Nevada Discovery Ride team help get your horse trail ready! We are currently scheduling full-care trail training for the 2025 season. In order to give client horses our exclusive attention, we only accept ONE HORSE per month.
Training includes 3-4 on-trail sessions each week focusing on conditioning and mileage. We begin with short distances, but as your horse becomes more fit and confident, we increase distance to full day rides. (Up to 20 miles) Training includes work in a variety of terrain across Nevada, including backcountry desert and mountain trails, as well as urban multi-use trails. We work with horses solo and in groups. Your horse will be exposed to bicycles, OHVs, dogs, mules, saddlebags, man-made and natural obstacles, and other trail encounters. Horse safety (both physical and mental) is our top priority, so training is always done at their pace.
We provide owners with detailed weekly progress reports, including photos and videos. A good trail horse is the culmination of lots of training, but nothing beats miles - let us help put those miles on.

Full Care Trail Training (Includes board and up to 32 hours of trail time each week)
$1,500 per month
Fine Print:
- Home ranch is located in Silver Springs, Nevada.
- We can arrange to haul your horse for pick up and drop off for an additional fee.
- Board includes private 36x36 pen with shelter, high quality hay, and fresh water. Additional supplements can be provided as needed.
- We do not start horses. Horses must have foundational training complete, be rideable under saddle, and trailer load.
- We will not accept horses under 3 years of age.
