The Route
The American Discovery Trail is the nation's only coast-to-coast, non-motorized route. It stretches more than 6,800 miles through 15 states. In Nevada the trail is composed of nine segments totaling 500+ miles, largely on isolated, relatively unused dirt roads across central Nevada. Samantha, Sage, and Bella detoured from the trail in Virginia City to ride into Reno.
